1. Research Field

The team mainly carries out research on the collection and preservation of germplasm resources, breeding of new varieties and germplasm innovation of small hybrid fruit in economic forest.

2. Research progress

More than 600 germplasm resources of prunus, papaya, magnoliaceae, platanus, gleditsia sinensis, etc. have been collected and preserved. More than 200 acres of various germplasm resource nurseries have been built. 7 improved varieties of hybrid Prunus simonii, were introduced and selected , which had large fruit, bright color, high soluble solid content, unique flavor, strong adaptability, and had broad market prospects,. 8 improved varieties of papaya, platanus, magnoliaceae, and thorless gleditsia sinensis have been bred. High-efficiency cultivation techniques for prunus simonii, papaya, platanus, thorless gleditsia sinensis, Baiyu michelia, Zixia magnolia have been preliminarily integrated.

3. Research results

15 forest improved varieties were approved/affirmed. 2 national invention patents authorized. 1 forestry industry standard formulated. And more than 20 academic papers and 2 academic works published.
